World-renowned Singaporean chef Akmal Anuar has taken his culinary vision to the global stage, expanding his acclaimed restaurants across continents. From his innovative modern Japanese concepts to his culturally inspired dining experiences, Anuar’s establishments now grace major cities worldwide, setting new benchmarks in gastronomy. This global expansion marks a monumental achievement, solidifying his reputation as one of the most influential culinary figures of his generation.

Akmal Anuar is a Singaporean chef and restaurateur, best known as the founder of White Rice Co. After working at top Singapore restaurants like Les Amis and Iggy’s, he moved to Dubai in 2014. His restaurant 11 Woodfire earned a Michelin star, and his modern Japanese concepts Goldfish Sushi & Yakitori and OTORO have Bib Gourmand recognition.​

He also launched the Malay-inspired Harummanis in Singapore, drawing on his family’s hawker-stall roots, and expanded it to Dubai, where it recently received a Michelin Bib Gourmand.  

Anuar is celebrated for his cuisine-driven approach, focusing on quality ingredients and traditional flavor fused with modern techniques.
